Fighter Babe Jennifer Scott Returns to the Cage this Friday

Fighter babe Jennifer “Superstar” Scott (2-2) returns to the cage to tangle with Lauren Taylor (4-0) this Friday at Legacy Fights 18 in Houston, TX at the Arena Theatre. After a long awaited return to MMA we recently caught up with Jennifer for the interview below.

How did you get involved in MMA and how long have you been training?

-I originally started boxing as a form of fitness to compete in Hawaiian Tropic bikini competitions. I made my way thru the amateur circuit, then turned pro and eventually made the transition to MMA. I’ve been training MMA for four years.

Where are you currently training, and what's a typical training week like for you?

-I train at 4oz Fight Club. I train six days a week. I run to the gym in the morning to get my 2-3 hour workout in then I run home, rest then repeat at least three evenings a week.

Tell us about your upcoming fight, who you're fighting and where?

-I am fighting Lauren Taylor at Legacy Fights 18 on March 1st at the Arena Theatre in Houston, TX.

What is your best experience as a fighter? What is your worst?

-Best experience I have had as a fighter, having a young girl come up to me and tell me, “I love when you come to the gym and I watch you. I want to fight just like you.”

-Worst Experience, weight cut is never fun.

What advice would you give to other women who are reading this interview and want to get started in MMA?

-Do it because you have a love and passion for it. You will have to torture your body and do things you never thought you physically could. So don’t quit on yourself, pain is temporary, success lasts forever.

What are some of the hurdles that you think Women in MMA need to overcome before Women's MMA will be considered a top level sport like Men's MMA is today?

-I think the women that want to fight need to do just that, FIGHT. You want to involve yourself in a professional sport you need to treat it that way from day one. Become more reliable and stop with all the pulling out of fights.

What or who are your inspirations in MMA and life?

-Inspiration in my life, of course all my coaches and team members. My dad RIP, instilled what it takes to train and be a successful athlete in me at a young age and most importantly my son, everything I do I do it for him and when I feel like quitting I just remember he’s right there watching.

Who are your favorite MMA fighters?

-Anderson Silvia and Jon Jones, if I could mimic a style it would be theirs.

How do you enjoy your free time when not training or fighting?

-I’m definitely an adrenalin junkie, riding motorcycles, sky diving, and I love being by the water.

Of course we have a few questions for the male readership as well.

Are you single?

-Yes.

What do you look for in a guy?

-I want a guy to watch movies with, eat fattening food, and then go to the gym in the morning. Someone that likes going to dinners and concerts and not worrying about going clubbing on the weekends. I love tattoos, a fan of sports cars, shredded and sexy. Is that too much to ask for? Lol

What are your turn-ons?

-A man that knows how to treat a lady like a princess no matter how tough she is. A great smile and nice shredded abs.

What are your turnoffs?

-People that are lazy and have no motivation, you got to be able to KEEP UP!

What would you say is your best feature?

-Physically my smile. In general, my personality and just overall outlook on life.

Any future plans or dreams?

-To be world champion in both MMA and boxing. Other than fight life, since I went to dental assisting school, to have my own custom mouth piece brand.

Any shout outs you would like to make?

-Of course to my trainer and team members at 4oz Fight Club I wouldn’t be where I am without them and my sponsors, St. Michaels Emergency, Arm Bar Submission, My Fight Shop, B3 Sports Management and that list just keeps growing every day.

Thank you for your time, glad to see you back in the cage and good luck on fight night Jennifer! For more on fighter babe Jennifer Scott visit her on Facebook, TwitterInstagram and Google Plus.
