The Tiny Tornado Touches Down in Kansas City this Saturday

Tecia "The Tiny Tornado" Torres (2-0) returns to Kansas City, Missouri this Saturday for her toughest battle yet at Invicta FC 6. Both Tecia and her opponent Rose Namajunas (2-0) maintain undefeated MMA records in both the amateur and professional ranks which should match up for a thrilling fight that kicks off the main card on Saturday. As a proud sponsor of Tecia we also caught up with her for a short interview prior to the big fight.

How have you been and what's new since we last interviewed you?

-I’ve been great! For my Invicta FC 6 camp I was fortunate enough to be able to train fulltime, for the first time.

Tell us about your upcoming fight, who you are fighting and where?

-I will face off against Rose Namajunas at Invicta Fighting Championship 6 in Kansas City, Missouri on July13th. The fights can be watched via TV PPV from your local provider or Internet Stream.

How was this training camp and did you get to train with anyone special?

-Everything has gone as planned. I’ve been training with my normal training partners at American Top Team. We have a great gym with lots of talent, so I always have someone to work with.

All the female fighters under the Invicta FC banner rave about it. How has your experience with Invicta been so far?

-Outstanding. I enjoy every moment I am in Kansas City. Janet, Shannon, and everyone behind the Invicta banner are so professional.

Do you have any fight day rituals or superstitions?

-I just like to have fun and be active. I can become a lil princess =)

How did you get your fight nickname “The Tiny Tornado”?

-I’m short, 5'1, a lil ball of energy inside the cage, fast, and known to throw spinny stuff!

Any predictions on how you see your upcoming fight unfolding?

-I see myself ended the fight with my hand raised.

If you could have one dream fight with anyone, who would it be and why?

-The Champ at my weight whoever it is at the time I am ready for it.

What is your greatest achievement or proudest moment in your fighting career so far?

-Continuing to be myself and stay positive and humble thru it all. Also all of my wins.
