Fighter Babe Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc Ready to Throw down Tomorrow

Fighter babe Nicdali "The Night Queen" Rivera-Calanoc (8-6) steps back into the cage tomorrow at Invicta FC 6 in Kansas City, Missouri. We recently caught up with Nicdali for the short interview below as she prepares for the biggest fight of her life.

How have you been and what's new since we last interviewed you?

-I have earned my blue belt in BJJ and earned my black belt in Calanoc's Mixed Martial Arts concepts. Got to go to Washington to visit and train with Miesha Tate and Bryan Caraway after my last fight and been training as much as possible since recovering from injury.

Tell us about your upcoming fight, who you are fighting and where?

-I am fighting former 105 lb Champ Jessica Penne. I am fighting for Invicta FC on July 13th at the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO.

How did this training camp go for you?

-This training camp has been the hardest training camp I have ever had.

All the female fighters under the Invicta FC banner rave about it. How has your experience with Invicta FC been so far?

-All I can say is that I LOVE Invicta FC and feel grateful to them. I have a three fight contract with them and I am so glad that I am a part of furthering Women’s MMA. I am truly living out my goals and dreams.

Do you have any fight day rituals or superstitions?

-Yeah but I like to keep those private LOL. I get my hair braided haha.

Any predictions on how you see your upcoming fight unfolding?

-I see myself WINNING!!!!

If you could have one dream fight with anyone, who would it be and why?

-I am fighting my dream fight!!! ;)

What is your greatest achievement or proudest moment in your fighting career so far?

-There is a lot from being the FCF 125 lbs Champion, my blue belt in BJJ (only took me like 3 years because my lack of time in the GI) and my black belt in Calanoc's Mixed Martial Arts Concepts. Signing my contract with Invicta FC and partnering with Juan Lanza to create our own Management Company Sangre Entertainment.

Any shout outs you would like to make?

-I would like to thank ONNIT, Bulletproof Exec, Fighter Girls, Babes of MMA, Respect No Respect, Funky Gums, Sangre Entertainment and UPC Tulsa.

Thank you very much for your time Nicdali and proud to be a friend and sponsor. Send your shout outs to Nicdali on Facebook and Twitter and be sure to tune in to Invicta FC 6 tomorrow as Nicdali looks to shake up the Women’s atomweight division with a big win.

Fans worldwide can purchase the Ustream iPPV via Invictafc.com for the full fight card starting at 7 p.m. ET and those in North American can also purchase the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET via their local cable and satellite PPV for $14.95.
