Cassie Robb is ready to Hulk Smash Someone this Saturday

Fighter babe Cassie "The Hulk" Robb (0-1) returns to the cage this Saturday at Invicta FC 6 in Kansas City, Missouri. We recently caught up with Cassie to learn a little more about her prior to stepping back into the cage.

How did you get involved in MMA and how long have you been training?

-I used to go to a lot of local fights in my home town of Casper, Wyoming. I had always seen only men fight, but one night that I went to watch I saw a girl in the cage and it really inspired me. I have been training since I was 19 years old and I will be 23 in August so about four years now.

Where are you currently training, and what's a typical training week like for you?

-I currently train at the LA Boxing facility in Westminster, Colorado with my team, the Serial Boxe Killers. Let’s put it this way, I train hard all the time doing what I need to do to make sure I come out with a victory. I won’t get more specific than that :)

How did you get your fight nickname “The Hulk”?

-I gave that fight name to myself. It’s one of my favorite movies and I feel I relate a lot to the character. I’m very passive and easy going until you get my adrenaline pumping then I turn into a beast!

Tell us about your upcoming fight, who you're fighting and where?

-I am fighting Livia Von Plettenberg on the Invicta Fighting Championship 6 show July 13th in Kansas City, Missouri.

What is your best experience as a fighter? What is your worst?

-My best experience would be my pro debut for Invicta because it was always something I dreamed of doing. My worst experience would probably be when I lost my first title fight. It was a huge wakeup call that I needed to take this sport more serious and train harder.

What advice would you give to other women who are reading this interview and want to get started in MMA?

-My advice would be to do what you want to do no matter what anyone says. If you believe in yourself that’s all that matters. No one believed I could do this and look at me now! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND NEVER GIVE UP!

What or who are your inspirations in MMA and life?

-My inspiration is my fiancée Stephanie Skinner. She has made me who I am today. We have grown a lot together as people and as fighters and I look up to her a lot.

Who are your favorite MMA fighters?

-Stephanie Skinner, Gina Carano, Miesha Tate, Ronda Rousey, Cris Cyborg, Tecia Torres, Diana Rael, Georges St-Pierre and Benson Henderson.

How do you enjoy your free time when not training or fighting?

-Any time with my soon to be wife is when I am the most happy. We have similar hobbies, both love to sing, go out dancing and hang out with our friends and teammates or our pit bull Marlei :)

For those who will inquire we have a couple of questions for the male readership.

Although you have already alluded to this in a previous question, are you single?

-No I am far from single! Lol, I am engaged to the most beautiful, talented and all around amazing woman in the world Ms. Stephanie Skinner! :) We are getting married August 24th, 2013.

What do you look for in a significant other?

-Everything she has is what I look for. Great personality, big heart, gorgeous smile, pretty eyes and of course a banging bod ;) Haha but personality wise, someone that shares my sense of humor and can be themselves around me and vice versa.

Lastly before we let you go we would love to hear about your future and let you send some shout outs.

Any future plans or dreams?

-My dream is to be in the UFC someday and to make fighting my full time career.

Any shout outs you would like to make?

-Just a shout out to my team, the Serial Boxe Killers, my coaches Benjamin Schissler and Diana Rael, my fiancée Stephanie Skinner, and my sponsors American Ground N Pound, Mass Destruction MMA and Inksmith Tattoo.

Thank you very much for your time Cassie and good luck on fight night! Send your shout outs to Cassie Robb on Twitter and be sure to tune in to Invicta FC 6 this Saturday. Cassie kicks off the event as the first fight on the preliminary card which will be free on Invictafc.com.

Fans worldwide can purchase the Ustream iPPV via Invictafc.com for the full fight card starting at 7 p.m. ET and those in North American can also purchase the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET via their local cable and satellite PPV for $14.95.

  1. Livia Von Plettenberg was ruled out of the fight after being unable to lose an additional seven pounds at the Friday weigh-in.

Strangely enough Von Plettenberg was found a replacement opponent in Kathina Catron for a catchweight bout while Cassie Robb who made weight did not get to fight.
