2014 Awakening WMMA Awards

Awakening Fighters is back with their second annual community voted Women's MMA awards. Babes of MMA are honored to be nominated again for WMMA sponsor of the year! Although our fighter roster was a little smaller for 2014 due to several fighters moving on to the UFC and others with injuries we still proudly watched our girls work their way up the ranks and bring home several titles this year. Alphabetically by first name we proudly sponsored Angela "The Predator" Jennings, Cheyanne "The Warrior Princess" Vlismas, Katy "The Red Dragon" Collins, Liana "True Blood" Tunmer, Lynn "Lights Out" Alvarez and Nicdali "The Night Queen" Rivera-Calanoc! We were also a sponsor for our very first short film called "What It Takes" which just had it's premier screening earlier this month. Sponsored or not we support as many ladies as possible via our social media pages and website features. It has been great to see this sport evolve for the ladies over the years and glad we have become a small part of it. Congratulations to every single person involved with Women's MMA!

2013 Awakening WMMA Awards

As 2013 comes to a close we look back at an incredible year for Women's MMA which saw everything from the very first ladies fight in the UFC, the first season of The Ultimate Fighter featuring the ladies and the continued growth of organizations like Invicta FC.

In recognition of this amazing year Awakening has put together the very first 2013 Awakening WMMA Awards which is completely voted on by the public. Babes of MMA are honored to be nominated for sponsor of the year! 2013 WMMA Award Nominees

Just a few days ago the 2013 WMMA Award Nominees were announced. Click here to see the full list of nominees and submit your vote for favorite female fighter. Babes of MMA are honored to be nominated for the second straight year as the WMMA sponsor of the year but think all the ladies of MMA are the true winners this year.

2013 was quite the year for the ladies of MMA. On February 23rd Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche became the first two female fighters to enter the octagon at UFC 157, Invicta FC continued to bring us new female stars, we witnessed the very first season of The Ultimate Fighter featuring the ladies which will conclude this Saturday with a rematch between coaches Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey at UFC 168 and just two weeks ago the UFC announced they would be bringing in the strawweight ladies for The Ultimate Fighter season 20. Keep doing your thing ladies!
