Our March 2012 MMA babe of the month is British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) ring girl Georgia Graham. Born on New Year’s Day this MMA beauty is 22 years old, 5’3” and measures 30DD-23-31. Georgia lives in a small village situated in between Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh and claims a Geordie accent which is similar to Cheryl Cole, Ant and Dec. After completing school Georgia was going to University with ambitions of studying psychology but at the last minute decided to give modeling a chance. In a tough industry she found lots of rejection at first but never gave up. Hard work has paid off as she has spent time with two of her favorites Ant and Dec as well as a personal hero, Richard Hammond. Not just a ring girl anymore, Georgia is also training in mixed martial arts primarily with kickboxing but also has a love for submissions. Coming into this sport as a newbie, Georgia believes in doing the job to the best of her abilities which motivated her to take up MMA herself and can also banter with fans with her knowledge of this sport. Although shocked when she is recognized when out and about Georgia does love meeting people so don’t be shy and say hello. For more on the beautiful Georgia Graham continue reading our interview below.
How did you get into the world of MMA?
-Pretty much just right place, right time! I was working at a red carpet event promoting No Fear energy drink and my photographs from the event were seen by someone from BAMMA who liked my look!
What were you doing before you became an MMA ring girl and model?
-I was about 18 when I first started doing the modeling and promotional work. It all really started with the pageants, I entered Miss Universe GB and managed to get into the final Top 12 but pageants aren’t my thing. Now I have tattoos so I don’t think I’d be pageant material. From pageants I moved onto glamour modeling and I’ve been published in quite a few magazines, although I don’t do topless! In between the modeling and promotional work I was employed on a farming estate and it’s something I still do! Chasing down cows across fields and chopping logs is a million miles away from posing in front of a camera but I enjoy it!
Who are your favorite MMA fighters?
-I have massive respect for all the fighters and they are all really nice guys! I like watching Tom ‘Kong’ Watson fight, also Frank Trigg is a really nice guy to work with and a real gentleman.
What are the strangest and sweetest comments MMA fans have said to you?
-There hasn’t been anything strange really but now that I’ve said that I’ll get some strange ones! Generally every single comment I get has been very sweet, supportive and kind. I do get the occasional sassy comment but I don’t mind the fun banter!
What would your fight name be if you were a fighter?
-I’d have to have a good think about that one but probably Georgia ‘Small but Feisty’ Graham thinking off the top of my head.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
-It wouldn’t be unknown if I said! One thing probably is that I do sometimes work on a farm; usually the reaction is a shocked one when people find out. And I’m an expert with the hula-hoop!
What are your hobbies and how do you spend your free time?
-I spend a lot of my free time with friends, nights in and out and going shopping! I live in a small village and it’s really quiet, most people find it hard to believe that I’m not a party person and one glass of wine finishes me off. I’m always up for a laugh no matter where I am or who I’m with; life should be all about having fun. I train in MMA a few times a week when time allows and I also go to the gym. I like to get out and about with my camera and occasionally I do art. I’m a fan of fast cards and love watching Top Gun, anything to do with motors and I usually want to be there having a look under the bonnet or if given the chance I like to drive!
Are you single?
-I was single for ages but I’ve recently met someone who makes me laugh and I enjoy spending time with so maybe things are looking up!
What do you look for in a guy?
-A good sense of humor! A guy could be Mr. Perfect in every way but if he can’t laugh or take sarcasm then he’s no use to me. I prefer someone with a wicked sense of humor, who takes care of his appearance and has some ambitions of his own. I have a preference for dark haired men; two of my favorites are Enrique Iglesias and Ian Somerhalder.
What are your turn-ons?
-Haha, I have to keep some secrets! But I do like someone who has the ability to make me laugh or smile without having to do or say too much. Another turn on is a nice smile and a good dress sense always catches my eye.
What are your turnoffs?
-Trying to impress me with money or status is the worst thing a guy can do! I don’t care who they are, what they have or how much they earn. Everything I own I worked for and bought myself and flashing cash at me just doesn’t work. If a guy wants to treat me, then that’s entirely up to him but I don’t expect it and I’d never stay with someone just because they could buy me things.
What would you say is your best feature?
-Probably my smile! It took a year of wearing a brace to get it and it’s the one thing people always comment on.
What are your future plans or dreams in life?
-I’m quite spontaneous with my plans. My goal is to be successful, happy and sharing it with the people closest to me. I’d like to achieve a lot of it by the time I’m 30 so that gives me eight years to work my ass off! I’d also love to be a guest ring girl for the UFC so if Dana or anyone would like to get in touch…..
Any special shout outs or thank you’s?
