Our April 2011 MMA babe of the month is Miss TapouT Jennifer Swift. Ms. TapouT Jennifer Swift is not just another sexy girl who is into MMA. She is a writer, model, TV host, ring girl and actress. Jennifer has been making noise in the MMA world with her looks and brains since she first started with TapouT Magazine in 2010. Hailing from Huntington Beach, CA this stunner is 22 years old, 5'6", 125 lbs. and measures a curvy 34DD-26. Read on below to find out more about this MMA babe.
How did you get into the world of MMA?
-It all started when I met my manager Brandt Stebbins who manages fighters. I started to go to MMA events with him and started to meet all the fighters. I watched some MMA fights before I met my manager but never understood it like I do now. So I admit at first I was not a diehard fan. It was not till I started spending a lot of time with Kimo Leopoldo that I became a diehard fan. The more he taught me about the sport the more I grew as fan that I am today. Other people who really helped my along the way are Mike "Joker" Guymon, RJ Clifford, Bobby Pittman, Chris Staab, and of course Sky Skrape from TapouT who has supported me thru this whole adventure.
What is your role as Ms. Tapout?
-Well I am a model and featured writer for TapouT Magazine. I also handle their social networking sites such as the MMA World Wide & TapouT Magazine fan page on Facebook.
What type of articles do you write for TapouT Magazine?
-I interview mainstream celebrities about their love for MMA. My first ever interview was with Cypress Hill's front man B-Real.
Who has been your favorite celebrity that you interviewed so far?
-I would say B-Real because he was so easy going and easy to talk to. I actually was contacted by B-Real a week after the interview and he asked me to be a co-host on his online show B-Real TV. Another fun celebrity was Steve-O from Jack Ass. He was so hilarious the whole time and such a sweetheart.
Are there any upcoming interviews you are particularly excited about?
-I have a lot that I am excited about! My next interview is with rapper/actor Ice T, and then I have Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed, David Draiman from Disturbed, Fred Durst, and Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugs on deck.
Who are your favorite MMA fighters?
-GSP (because he is a hottie and a bad ass fighter) and of course the man who got me into it all, the legend, KIMO!
What is something most people don't know about you?
-I am scared of clowns.
What are your hobbies and how do you spend your free time?
-Love going to fights, hitting the gym, training, relaxing at the beach, and whooping ass on some Black Ops!
What do you look for in a guy?
-Someone who can be yourself with me and they have to be real. There are too many fake people out there these days.
What are your turn-ons?
-I love guys with style and a sense of humor.
What are your turnoffs?
-Liars and bad hygiene
What would you say is your best feature?
-My stomach or my eyes.
What are your future plans or dreams in life?
-I am working on doing some more TV this year and also doing some music videos. I am actually working on a song with reggae legend Eek A Mouse right now. I am also still waiting on Dana to call me to be a UFC octagon girl. Dana, if you're reading this give me call ;)
Our apologies for not bringing Jennifer to our fans sooner as she is someone to watch in the world of MMA! For more on Jennifer be sure to check out her Facebook fan page and on twitter @Jennifer_Swift. Thank you Jennifer for your time and can't wait to hear more from you.

Say Hello to Fighter Kate Aroa
Say hello to fighter babe Kate Aroa who comes to us all the way from New Zealand. Kate is currently ranked 16th in the Women's MMA world rankings under the featherweight division. Check out our interview with Kate below.
How did you get involved in MMA and how long have you been training?
-I started BJJ first about 6 years ago then started MMA training about 3 years ago. I started attending a few MMA classes then got hooked. I would never of thought I would fight MMA though.
Where are you currently training, and what's a typical training week like for you?
-Currently I train under Roney 'Kabecao' Da Silva who is under Jr Macgyver/Crolin Gracie Team New Zealand. We are training out of Tauranga, New Zealand. I train 6 days a week, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Monday, Wednesday and Friday, MMA Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, Muay Thai Monday to Wednesday. Leading up to a fight I train Muay Thai 6 days a week as well.
What is your best experience as a fighter? What is your worst?
-The best experience I have had as a fighter was my fight against Angie Parr in Sydney last year as it was the first professional women's MMA fight in Australasia. Also because Angie is a World Champion at Muay Thai so I was very happy that I won my fight because I specialize in BJJ not Muay Thai.
My Worst experience would have been when I competed at the 2010 World Championship in LA I had my opponent in a arm lock but she wouldn't tap even when her arm clicked then she ended up winning on points which took her through to the semi-finals, I was gutted I didn't submit her.
What are some of the hurdles that you think women in MMA need to overcome before women's MMA will be considered a top level sports like men's MMA is today?
-I'm not sure the only thing I can think of is we need more women training. I struggle to get opponents to fight me because not many women get into it but it is growing fast.
What or who are your inspirations in MMA and life?
-My inspiration would be my Fiancee/BJJ/MMA teacher Roney. If I hadn't met him I would never of learnt BJJ/MMA. Since then my life has totally changed for the better, I was a bit lost in my life, didn't have any goals for my future and was overweight, now I have direction, I am very determined woman that wants to show my skills all around the world. Thanks to Roney Da Silva and my sponsor New Zealand MMA.
Who are your favorite MMA fighters?
-Rickson Gracie
How do you enjoy your free time when not training or fighting? Any hobbies?
-I love spending time with family, they are my life because I work full time and train everyday which takes up a lot of my time. I love the ocean and have been going sailing with my family since I was very young.
Any future plans or dreams?
-My Dream is to fight on Strikeforce one day or at a professional event in America. I want to go overseas to fight and compete to test my skills against world class fighters. I plan to compete at the World Champs in BJJ again this year in LA.
Thank you for your time Kate and we hope all your dreams come true. For more on Kate check out her team at Jr. Macgyver Crolin Gracie New Zealand.

Meet Bellator Babe Jade Bryce
I recently connected with new Bellator babe Jade Bryce and can't say enough about this sweetheart. From Austin, TX this knockout is 5'3" (what she calls travel-size), 107 lbs. and measures a natural 34D-24-34. Travel is her true love so being on the road as the new Bellator babe fits perfectly. Jade is an avid MMA fan, a certified yoga instructor and a sucker for vintage cars including a yellow '74 VW she is currently rebuilding. Her inspirations in life are Muhammad Ali, Audrey Hepburn, Ghandi and the Dalai Lama. Jade takes risks and enjoys being a go-getter and believes life is so short that you have to seize every moment by doing what you love. We also got the chance to ask Jade a few additional questions seen below.
How did you get into the world of MMA?
-MMA has always been my favorite sport and last year when I got into modeling Fight! Magazine contacted me for a feature. I jumped at the chance of course, loving anything to do with MMA. A fighter friend, Nick "the Ghost" Gonzalez who was then a stranger saw the article and passed it on to Manny, the Spanish commentator for Bellator. When they needed a blonde ring girl he sent me the info. It's funny how the most amazing things sometimes work out that way. The raindrop in the ocean effect! :)
Who are some of your favorite MMA fighters?
-I really miss seeing Roger Huerta fight and we all love to watch Eddie Alvarez of course! I'd have to say I'm a huge fan of Michael Chandler as well as the Pitbull brothers. I love Michael Chandler's "blessed" mentality and he is extremely talented and inspirational! The Pitbull brothers are so fierce in the cage yet sweet to everyone outside of it, very genuine guys! Don't forget to watch Chandler and Pitbull on May 14th at Bellator 44! That's going to be one heck of a fight!
How do you spend your spare time and any interesting hobbies?
-I am a huge outdoors girl. I live right next to a kayaking station in Austin and love being on the water. I love to travel and volunteer in a different country each year but always revisiting Uganda, Africa. A child in need just melts my heart and I'm truly blessed to spend my spare time helping them. I also love being at the gym! I am also a sucker for blues dancing and sushi which is an ideal date for me although I don't get much time for that anymore but I don't mind, I'm happy to be this busy.
What are your future plans or dreams?
-I would love to get into acting. I plan on staying with Bellator for as long as they'll keep me, it has been a dream job! I plan on backpacking all seven continents (I have three more left) by the time I am 30. I also plan to continue building wells and schools for those in need no matter how my future goes. I do hope to go farther in this field because anytime I'm in the spotlight I can put the needs of others right there with me. :)
To keep up on the latest happenings with Jade say hello to her on Facebook, Twitter and check out her non-profit Community Crash. I don't know what took the MMA world so long to find you but certainly glad they did. Thank you Jade for your time and all your support! We can't wait to see you in Chicago when Bellator returns.
